The portrait of a man all bloodied and bruised hanging in room may be attempt to give a masculine feel to the place but in Feng Shui, this type of picture is taboo.  Why?  Because it depicts violence and negativity.  Such trophies of manhood need not be highlighted in the home.  It might just promote domestic disharmony and violence.
