CNY OFFERINGS FOR DEITIES

These are peaches made from flour (and I think sugar).  They are placed on altars as offerings to the Taoists deities and the Buddhas.

The golden garlic here will be placed at the altar of the Tei Chu K'ung or the House Deity.  In Chinese garlic is 'suen' which sounds like counting as well.  So having gold garlic symbolises having gold to count.
Pomeloes and gourds are also popular offerings for deities during this festival.
