The name Sherlock is pretty unusual. The character's brother is named Mycroft which is also very rare.  The latest actor to play the famous British sleuth has a name that is really uncommon, Benedict Cumberbatch.

It was inherited from a village called Comberbach in Cheshire, England and this topographical description is an accurate description of the place.
