MAKING THE BEST OUT OF A BAD SITUATION

The Daun Sireh (Piper Betel) Plant at the herb garden was damaged by the falling branches of trees a few weeks ago.  As it was supported by a trellis made from wooden planks and metal bed stands, the plant (or what was left of it) was all entangled with them.  So to save what was left of the plant, my boys helped to remove the planks and metal bits.  In the process, we had to sacrifice about 80% of the plant.
Here Asiah is cutting out the sireh leaves so that whoever who wants them can take them home.

The branches which had roots growing out from them were later replanted in pots.
