I think this activity was thrown into the tour schedule as part of a scheme to sell the strawberries from the farms at the outskirts of Seoul. We were only allowed to pick 2 strawberries each.
You can see Li Lian with the two strawberries she picked.
After picking the strawberries, every two persons was given a box of strawberries.
