I have seen the Serpent Gourd or Snake Gourd (Trichosanthes cucumerina) at the market and supermarket but have never bought it. I don't remember eating a dish with this vegetable.
What interests me about the Snake Gourd is the flower of the plant which resembles lace. The lace-like flower opens only after dark. Hmm ... I might perhaps buy the vegetable and get the seeds to plant. I want to see the lace-like flowers.
