Before reaching the temple, there is a Tua Pek Kong Bridge. After going up the bridge, the temple is about 100 metres away.

Of course, I made a beeline for the place yesterday. And of course, I invited Lai Yoong to go with me. It was really an eye opener for us and we were both fascinated by what we saw. The both of us actually spent about 2 hours at the place. We did the customary prayers and then wandered around the temple grounds to take pictures. We also took time to talk to the people there to learn more about the history of the temple which dates back more than a hundred years. And so the temple was not really new. Only that it had been upgraded. It seemed that the first settlers of the place came from the Fuqian province in China. They made their homes in this fishing village and also brought along the idol of the deity Tua Pek Kung all the way from China and set up a temple which overlooks the straits.
It is already 12.35 a.m. now and I am drained of energy from work and also my visit to the temple, not to mention the visit to the Bazaar Ramadhan. I will write about my visit to this temple later in the day and share the photos that were taken by Lai Yoong and me. So please be patient.
