MAKING FULL USE OF WEALTH USHERING FRUIT

Kamariah and I got this pineapple from our friend Ishak.  He gave it to us as a present.  If you look at the fruit, it is a bit different from the normal pineapples that one buys from the market. Anyone one has any idea what species of pineapple it is?
She will be taking the fruit back home to eat with her family while I want the side shoots or suckers for propagation.  I want to grow a few of these pineapples for the Herb Garden.
By the way, do you know that there is a type of plant known as Pineapple Flower or Pineapple Lily (Eucomis autumnalis).   By looking at the picture of this plant, it is very obvious why it is named such.
