Kamariah and I got this pineapple as a gift from our friend Sahak, when we visited him yesterday. Instead of the normal greenish shade when unripe, this pineapple has a few shades. To the Chinese, the pineapple is an auspicious fruit as it is known as Wong Lai (Cantonese) or Ong Lai (Hokkien) which sounds like look coming. So, Kamariah and I can expect wealth to be coming our way soon.
