When I went back to Ipoh during the weekend, I bought limes, lemons and kaffir limes from the market. They cost much cheaper in Ipoh as compared to Manjung and Sitiawan. Last week, I had to pay RM1 for two kaffir limes but I only paid RM2 for 5 in my hometown. The local lemons cost me RM1 for two. I just bought the yellow lemons from Econsave at 79 sen each.
This is how I pampered myself yesterday evening. I took a lime, yellow lemon, local lemon and kaffir lime each cut them into slices and placed them in my bath-tub. I also added chrysanthemum flowers, kaffir lime leaves plus pomelo leaves to the diffusion. I left all the goodies in the tub for an hour before indulging myself in a citrus bath. Before I bathed, I squeezed the slices of lemon, lime and kaffir lime so that the juice get mixed with the bath water. In a ritual bath, one needs to cut the citrus fruits into seven pieces, use seven types of flowers and leaves but then I was not having such a bath. So there was no need to have everything in 7s. This was my uplifting citrus bath as I used the pure essence and energy of the citrus fruits to max my alertness and lift my mood.
After the bath, I left all the citrus fruit slices, flowers and leaves on the bathroom floor as they give off such a tangy and wonderful smell. I'd only clear them this morning so that the place would have this lemony and limey smell.
