PAINTING AN EAST FACING HOUSE GREY
My new next door neighbour must really like the colour grey as the painters have painted the inside and outside walls in that colour. Even the ceiling is grey and so are the tiles of the porch and the bathroom.
My friend Jasmine told me that grey is the IN colour nowadays for homes and business premises.
Call me old fashioned but to me grey is such a stuffy and dull colour. I prefer livelier shades.
Besides, my neighbour's house is an East facing house (like mine) which means it is of the wood element.
In Feng Shui, an East and Southeast facing houses are of the wood element and staying in such houses can boost occupants' health and family relationships (east), and their wealth and prosperity (Southeast).
To make the most of the wood energy of these two directions, it is best to paint the house with colours that represent "water" (blue, black, purple) or "wood" (green, brown).
An East-facing home that uses both brown and green could encourage a balance between work and pleasure.
Those who live in East or Southeast facing houses should avoid using white, grey, red, orang and pink as these colours represent fire and metal energy. In the 5 element Feng Shui, fire and metal destroys wood. Thus whatever goodness and benefits that can be derived from living in the house is negated.
