If you happen to receive fresh flowers as presents for your birthday, do not throw them away when they have dried up. I know there are some Feng Shui masters who advise against having dried flowers in the house but I don't subscribe to that idea. Mind you, all the herbs that are in the Chinese medicine shop are all dried. Imagine the dried rosebud tea, the chrysanthemum tea and the Tien Chi flower tea kept in your kitchen. Aren't they dried flowers? I always keep a stock of them at home and am sure that the same applies to quite a number of people too. Believe me, we are none the worse for keeping the dried flowers. Intead, we benefit health-wise from drinking the flower teas.
Now, on to my tip about birthday flowers. Well, if you do not get flowers as presents for your birthday, you can buy some for yourself. Now, what you need to do is to keep the fresh flowers in a box or air dry them. When they are dry, you can use them as an amulet to drive away evil and to usher in good luck. It will be potent for one whole year. You can dispose of the dried flowers the following year and repeat the whole process using new flowers when your next birthday comes around.
