As a teacher, one of the happiest moments for me is whenever I learn that my former students have done well in their studies. Well, today not only I but many of the teachers in my school felt a sense of pride when Mohd. Effendi bin Amran, who studied in my school from 1998 to 1999, came for a visit. Effendi is an engineer with a basic degree and a Masters degree in engineering from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. Next year he will be going again to Hull to continue his doctoral studies in solar cells. It makes it worth our while to learn that students that we have taught will someday make something of themselves. He is pictured above with me, the principal and also his Physics teacher, Cikgu Ishak.
