WILLOW

It will be Ching Ming soon and some Chinese families would go visit the graves of their ancestors. During this time, the souls of the departed are said to roam the earth. They sort of are given a holiday this time from the Underworld.
It is also during this time, that some Chinese people carry willow branches with them, or put willow branches on their gates or front doors. They believe that willow branches help ward off the evil ghosts that are given the licence to wander during this time of year.
