May I draw your attention to the Hindus who would break loads of coconuts during Thaipusam. They too believe that this fruit and its juice possess such powers.Long ago, it would be very common to see many Chinese children wearing such bangles but nowadays only those whose parents still believe in its potency are wearing it.
