INDICATION OF SHELF LIFE OF EGGS

When we buy eggs from the supermarkets and hypermarkets, the expiry date would be indicated in the packaging.  However, once we remove the eggs to place inside the fridge from the expiry date listed on the packaging would most probably be discarded along with the carton.  Some people would commit to memory the expiry date but then I have a tendency to be forgetful and would most probably when they can no longer be safe to eat.  So what do I do?  I would remove the sticker for the expiry date and paste it on one of the eggs.  In this way, I will either cook the eggs or give them to a friend before they expire.
