The dish above has a unique name Bubur Chacha. Though it is eaten by the Chinese here in Malaysia, the Bubur Chacha does not originate from China. It is in fact a Nyonya dish, something invented by the Chinese who first settled in Malaya who acquired a lot of Malay culture and habits. This yummy dessert is made from sweet potatoes, black eyed beans and taro cooked in coconut milk.
