When I was at the Jade Emperor Temple on Saturday, the people there were busy decorating a lorry with flowers and banners for the grand procession held by the 100-year-old Huat Tian Keong temple in Bercham on August 20th. I was not able to go witness the procession as my mum and aren't weren't feeling too well on Saturday night. Anyway, I read that the 4.5km procession had the theme of the 1Malaysia concept and included colourful floats, lion and dragon dance troupes. The route was along the main streets
in Bercham There was also a fire-walking
ceremony at the temple’s premises on today.
