Me outside the temple waiting for my turn to consult the sifu |
Yesterday afternoon, I went and consulted my Taoist sifu about two of my problems. The first was with regards to the spate of thefts and burglaries in my housing estate and the second about the Housing Developer. The Malays have a practice where they use holy verses from the Quran to fence off the perimeters ot the house so that intruders will not enter.
The Taoists also have a similar practice. Well, I am glad to say that the sifu taught me what to do to create a protective shield around the house. He also gave me a paper charm which is to be burnt and then added to a mixture of rice, salt and tea leaves which will be used to scatter at the front and back of the house. The sifu also gave me three more paper charms to be burnt after every three days. In the charms are written many prayers from the Taoist holy scripts which is rather something like the holy verses used by the Muslims.
Actually, the rituals and charms given by the sifu would ward off intruders and any other people who would want to do me harm. So you can say that it covers both my problems.
Anyway, my sifu said that from what I related to him, the housing developer is at fault for supplying low quality accessories which endangers the safety of the housing residents. He advised me to be strong and said that what I did was my civic duty.
It is a pity that my paternal grandfather who was a Taoist Master died when I was only 3 years old, if not I would have become his disciple and learnt a lot from him. So powerful was he that I was told that he could make a person stop moving just by uttering an incantation. Also, he could draw up charms that could make people who steal or do wrong feel guilty and eventually confess their crimes. Aiyah! Why couldn't my grandpa live long enough for me to learn from him?
