Teacher's Day was celebrated in my school today. The Teacher's and Staff Club of my school took the initiative to get materials of the same pattern for all the teacher's and staff to wear on this day. Unfortunately, I could not join my friends in wearing the same material as my mum was taken ill during the weekend and my new clothing is left unfinished. One of my colleagues told me that her children commented that the pattern of the material reminded them of the Paddle Pop Rainbow Ice Cream. Hmm ... the children were spot on.
Since I could not wear the new Baju Kurung, I went and bought myself a new frock. Well, I too wanted to wear something new for a day specially dedicated to teachers. A few of my friends called it the Princess Dress.
Here I am getting a gift delivered to me by a student. Actually, old teachers like me do not get a lot of presents from the students. It is the young, pretty or handsome ones who would be getting all the presents from the adoring students. Furthermore, I am known to be very strict and fierce. So who wants to give me prezzies?Activities have been prepared for the teachers to celebrate their day. In my school, we had a fishing competition and a badminton tournament during the weekend. Today, we had netball, 5 stones, congkak and chess.
Here I am taking part in the Congkak competition.
Actually I am not good at this game at all but took part in it for the fun of it. I got knocked out in less than 10 minutes (or was it less?)Here I am with my friends, Kamariah and Fatihah who took part in the netball competition.
I am pictured here with my librarians. They were given the task of presenting the potpourri satchets to the teachers. The librarians had worked for a few days to make the satchets.
With my librarian Mira waiting for the netball match to start.
With Daniel in the hall.
Kamariah in action during the netball match.
