The lady in the above picture is stringing the buds of the jasmine flower. Taoists, Buddhists and Hindus will buy them as offerings to deities. However, I refuse to buy from her. Why? If you look closely at the back of the picture, you will notice that the public toilets are located very near to where she is doing her peddling.
No way am I going to use a garland of flowers strung less than 10 feet from the public toilet. Imagine the Bad Qi coming from there. Not to mention the germs.
I think more respect should be shown to the deities . The lady could choose a better spot to do her business.
