I bought the garland of flowers made from jasmine and chrysanthemum for the Goddess of Mercy from Sharveen. He sells this garlands part-time to get extra pocket money. Sharveen tells me that he would usually carry out his business during the weekends when he is not attending lectures in UNITAR in Kampar.
I ordered the garland of flowers from him a day beforehand and got it on Sunday evening. He has to get his supply of flowers first and then take some time to fashion them into the garland. Each garland costs RM5.00. The flowers chosen for the garlands must be fresh and fragrant. They are used to decorate the statues of deities as a show of respect. Don't you agree that Sharveen is very artistic?
