CELEBRATING RENRI BY EATING YEE SANG

Yesterday was Renri or the Birthday of Mankind.  Since I am in Sitiawan and not in Ipoh, I decided to celebrate this special day by inviting my friends Kamariah and Khariah for Yee Sang at the Horizon Garden Restaurant.  Khairah also brought along her daughter, Ina.  This is the first time that Kamariah, Khairah and Ina are eating Yee Sang.  So this is a very special occasion.
Kamariah with the plate of Yee Sang. Actually, the restaurant serves Yee Sang for 10 people but since Kama and I are regular customers they accomodated us by giving us a smaller serving.
This is the third time I had Yee Sang for the Chinese New Year.  The Chinese believe that the more times we toss the Yee Sang and eat it, the better our luck for the coming year will be.
Another view of the Yee Sang which has ingredients like Salmon, lime, radish, peanuts, crackers, pomeloes and sauces.
The waitress at the restaurant putting in the condiments and sauces for us.
Here we are starting to toss the Yee Sang.
Hey!  We must toss the Yee Sang high up and say Loe Hei.
All of us giving the Yee Sang a good tossing.
