The Frrrozen Haute Chocolate which costs a whopping £15,730 (about RM80,000) is on offer at New York's famous Serendipity 3 restaurant. It is listed as the most expensive dessert in the world by Guiness.
Wah! Why so expensive? It seems that the dessert contains 24 carat edible Swiss gold and is lined with 23 carat edible gold leaf. Besides the gold, it is also made with three scoops of the richest Tahitian vanilla ice cream, which is infused with Madagascar vanilla pods and other expensive stuff. The dessert is served in a crystal goblet which has an 18 carat gold and white diamond bracelet attached to the neck.
Aiyoh! RM80,000 for a dessert. Hmm ... I can renovate my whole house with this amount of money and have enough to buy new furniture and electrical items. And to think that there are people in this whole who do not have money to buy food and here we have a dessert costing so much. I wonder who are the people who have ordered and ate this very, very costly dessert.
