The above sculpture can be found at the Clearwater Sanctuary Golf Resort in Batu Gajah. It is titled, "Goodbye Tin-mining" and was built in 1997. The 30 feet sculpture is the work of artist, Yeoh Jin Leng. It is a design composed of dredge steel-buckets, a drive-wheel and steel girds to depict the closure of the tin-mining industry in the Kinta Valley, once the leading tin-producing district in the world. For your information, the dredge buckets are depicted in reverse form as an end of tin mining in Kinta Valley. By the way, Ipoh was once known as the town that tin built.
