The Chinese refer to someone who looks down on others as having eyes like that of a pigeon. Why? It is said that the pigeons would only gather at places where there is food aplenty. They are supposed to know who are the haves and who are the have-nots. As a result, the Chinese find it extra auspicious if pigeons were to gather outside their house. So, if you find that there are pigeons outside your house, don't shoo them away. It might be a sign that good luck and fortune are coming your way.
