The foodstuff pictured here were donated by devotees of the Jade Emperor Shrine in Ipoh. Some contributed because their prayers had been answered while others did so for the sake of charity. The sifu would distribute them to orphanages and old folks homes in Ipoh. I have personally helped him to deliver some to an Old Folk's Home in Kampung Simee. When there is a festival, then the food will be cooked and served to those who come for the festival. The food will be prepared and cooked by volunteers. There will also be those who volunteer to do the cleaning up.
