Herbal tea eggs is a savoury Chinese street snack that for the uninitiated might taste weird.  Me?  I love it.  To make the tea eggs, one needs to hard boil the eggs first, then crack it before boiling again in tea, light and dark sauces and spices like cloves, cinnamon, star anise and peppercorns.
Nowadays, it is even easier to make as the ingredients for the herbal tea has been packed into a big sachet for boiling.
