A month ago, the price for a stalk of bunga kantan or torch flower was as high as RM3.50. This was because there was a scarcity of the flower. However, the price has since gone down. When I was at the market this morning the price was 60 sen each. So I bought 4 with the intention of using them to make laksa for my colleagues and students in the college. However, I suddenly remembered that the water supply in the college will be cut next week as the workers will be replacing some component in the system.
