Alamak. I thought today is the 5th day of the 5th lunar month of the Chinese calendar and went about buying dumplings. It was only when I checked the lunar calendar that I realised it is next Monday. On this day the Chinese celebrate Duan Wu or the Double 5 festival. This festival is more popularly known as the Dumpling festival or Zong jie Why? Because it is celebrated by eating glutinous rice dumplings.
