This week I read articles about reality star, Kim Kardashian doing her bit for the victims of the Typhoon in Phillipines and thought to myself, finally this self-centred person is doing something for people who need help badly. However, I read new articles in the Internet today criticizing her for donating only 10% of the sales and keeping the rest for herself. Tsk ... Tsk, she is already so rich and wants to keep 90%. Wonder if she did that for the publicity or she is genuine.
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is selling her clothes on eBay to help raise money for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
The 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' star has put a selection of items on the auction site in order to raise money for the nonprofit organisation International Medical Corps to help victims of the devastating cyclone in Philippines.
However, instead of donating the entire proceeds, she's only giving 10 per cent of the sales to the charity. The 33-year-old, who has a reported net worth of £40 million, took to her Twitter page to share the link to her personal website. She wrote, “Hi guys, this is a very special auction because a portion of the proceeds of my eBay auction is going to International Medical Corps, a nonprofit organisation that provides critical health services on remote islands where families are struggling. The proceeds will go directly to the communities they're serving in the Philippines and will help typhoon survivors get access to medical care and ultimately save lives."

Kim Kardashian has proven many times that she is definitely not the brightest member of Kardashian clan, by making quite a few really bad decisions in the past. The latest came when Kim decided to do a charity auction and she made a very selfish (because she can’t really be that stupid – or can she?) move that has infuriated folks, who are now slamming the reality star.
Kim Kardashian recently did something that she most likely thought was a good deed, but it backfired on her. Kardashian launched some eBay auctions, selling some of her clothes and accessories for charity – sounds good, right? Kardashian then shared the news on her website, writing: “Hi guys, this is a very special auction because a portion of the proceeds of my eBay auction are going to International Medical Corps. The proceeds will go directly to the communities they’re serving in the Philippines and will help typhoon survivors get access to medical care and ultimately save lives.” Sounds even better, doesn’t it?
Yeah, well, there was one problem with her charity move. The part that Kardashian forgot to tell folks was that she was only donating 10% of the profits to the charity. Selfish or just stupid? We may never know for sure, but one thing is certain – folks are not happy about it! After learning that, many took to Twitter to slam the reality star, with everything from name calling to those claiming they would no longer be a Kardashian fan. Meanwhile, others told Kim to take a hint from the Beckhams, who donated over 20 boxes filled with designer clothes to the Red Cross shop to raise money for its recovery efforts in the Philippines.
