If you like to watch Chinese customed dramas, you'd most probably see these Chinese candy, called bingtang bulu being sold when they show street scenes. It is actually caramelized fruits. In the English language it can be referred to as Caramel haw. In Cantonese Ping Tong Wulou (冰糖葫芦) is a traditional Chinese candy made by dipping haw-on-a-stick in hot caramel. Nowadays it can be done with other fruits as well.
