ALREADY BEARING FRUIT

The mango plant above is a very young one but already there are two mangoes growing on it.  From what I know, those that are planted from seeds take about 5 years.  I presume the one above is grafted.  But then from what I know it takes about 3 years for these to produce fruit.  I wonder what was done to this one for it for bear fruit so fast.
