1) The kitchen represents the fire element and hence colours like red, pink, purple and orange are preferred to be used for the kitchen cabinets, wall tiles or floor tiles.

2) All other colours can also be used in the kitchen but not blue, black and grey which represents water colours and if you used these colours then the water element would drown away the fire and then career (fire) would not “grow”.

3) The placement of the kitchen equipment like the fridge, stove and sink are most important where fengshui is concerned.

4) Hence, the stove should always face a wall and directly opposite is also a wall and not the door to the bathroom nor the window.

5) It would be good to place an upside down "fu" on the wall facing the stove for added Good Luck.

6) The stove (fire) represents your career and hence where it is placed have to be given top priority.

7) The sink which represents the water element should never be placed directly opposite the stove which is fire as water and fire are conflicting elements. Besides the water could be too strong and then drown away the fire (stove). Then career cannot go any higher or be stagnant.

8) Besides, family members would always be in conflict.

9) The sink can face the fridge or the door to the bathroom though it is not preferred.

10) The sink should never face the window if not once the tap is on, the water flows away through the window. Then it will mean that family members staying in this house would tend to always think of spending money hence cannot save.

11) One can have two sinks, one in the dry kitchen and the other in the wet kitchen.

12) The sink should ideally have only one basin for washing plates and not two empty basins which can create two gaps or holes.

13) One can also have two stoves in the house. A hot plate stove is preferred in the dry kitchen while the normal stove which uses real fire is preferred in the wet kitchen.

14) The stove should never face opposite the sink, fridge or washing machine as fire elements and water are in conflict.

15) The stove should also not face the door to the bathroom in the kitchen.

16) The stove should also not face any mirror that can be hung on the wall in the kitchen.

17) The door to the kitchen should never face the door to the bedroom or even facing the altar table.

18) The stove is best located or tucked away in the kitchen and far from the visitor’s first sight into the house.

19) The kitchen floor tiles should never be black if not it can be really bad for career and health.

20) When buying a stove, choose one which is full of metal with some metal grills or space in between so that one can breath at the work place.

21) Try not to have glass walls or mirrors facing the stove. Matt finishing aluminium metal is allowed for easy cleaning.

22) The main door of the house should not open and be able to see the stove in the kitchen straight away if not the family members’ career would never be good as it usually means that someone is eyeing your position at the work place, hence be careful.
