SCAVENGING TO ADD TO INCOME
Every weekend before I go back to Sitiawan, I would put all the rubbish, from my Ipoh house, in a big black plastic bag and take it to the dumpster near the market to throw and not place it in front of my house. I have to do this out of necessity as the dogs in my area would tear at the plastic to look for food and leave a trail of rubbish. Just in case you might wonder why I have no rubbish bin at the front, then may I inform you that there are people out there who steal bins the moment you put them out. Yeah! As bad as that.
Each time I go to the dumpster, I would sure encounter people who would scavenge through the plastic bags to look for recyclables. Sometimes, I pity them as the stuff inside these bags might be dirty, unhygienic and smelly. But still they soldier on in search of some 'treasure' which will help add to their monthly income.

My fat dog is always trying to get into the rubbish from the Chinese guy across the road. Maybe he thinks he has better food than I provide.
Ha ha ha. Very funny
I don't ordinarily go through rubbish bins - except for one - it's a bin outside a coffee shop. I'm after coffee grounds. They're fantastic for the garden especially for those plants that enjoy slightly acidic conditions.
Oh, I learn a bit more about you.
