SARDINE SANDWICH ALA LI NA

When I am in the mood, I will make sandwich for dinner.  The ones that I make are not the triangular shaped ones.  I prefer those that are shaped like a B and they have to be wholemeal.  My favourites are multi-grains and sessawhite.  For the fillings, I cook Ayam brand sardines with onions, red chillies and add a bit of curry powder.  Tomatoes and cucumbers are also added to them.

I once worked for an Australian mining company and we all had to cook for ourselves. I only ate toasted sardine sandwiches in tomato sauce. They were delicious. The woman who ran the accommodation couldn't stand having me eat this and eventually started cooking for me. I was the only one she did this for. Years later I came across this same brand of sardines and bought some to see if it was delicious as I remember. It was.
