Nowadays it is hard to find a good and simple nasi lemak that is wrapped with banana leaf in cities. Brown paper with wax or polystyrene packs are widely used instead. My friends and I actually prefer nasi lemak wrapped with banana leaf for that special aroma and enhanced flavour.
In the above pictures, you see my friends and I enjoying traditional nasi lemak with the banana leaf wraps. Yummy!!!
