The magnificent arches you see in the picture above is the gateway to the Paradise Memorial Park in Tanjong Rambutan Perak. This is the place where my late father's ashes are interned. Once a year, I will make my way here to pay homage to the man who loved me the most.
In previous years, my mum and aunt would go to the columbarium with me but this year both stayed at the shrine as they said that they were not up to climbing the stairs.
Here I am standing in front of the grand columbarium where my daddy's ashes are interned.
Here is a clearer shot of the columbarium.
Offerings I made to my dad. I couldn't bring a lot as I went up alone. One has to pay respect to the Buddhas first before proceeding to pay homage to the ancestors.
Besides the columbarium, there are also graves at the Memorial Park.
Another view of the graves from the columbarium.
This is the block where my late father's crypt is located.
Another block at level 2 of the columbarium.
The blocks are given fancy names like Mayfair Boulevard.
I am pictured here at the new block called Forget Me Not Zone. This zone is fashioned after traditional Chinese Táng Dynasty architecture. It is surrounded by professional landscape gardens amidst natural rainforests and water sources from the hills, exemplifying an ambience of peace and tranquility. The open air and clean concept with specially customized niche compartment units makes it an ideal ancestral home to cherish memories and remembrance. Necessary amenities and facilities are available to cater for various occasions. LINK
