ECO GARDEN AT MEMORIAL PARK

During my visit to the Paradise Memorial Park in Kindings last Saturday, I noticed the Eco Huts that were built near the Tua Pek Kong shrine before the gateway to the Memorial Park.  Besides being a rest place for relatives of those buried or interned there, the huts are pleasing to the eyes as well.

Here is some info about this Eco Park taken from the site of the Memorial Park.
Eco Garden + Relaxation Area is developed on green roof initiatives and one of the only one in existence within the bereavement care industry in Malaysia. The green roof is completely covered with grass and supported by additiona layers, i.e. root barier, drainage, irrigation systems (using natural water sources), etc.
The construction of this structure is in line with the company's undertaking in corporate social responsibilities towards contributing back to society. Besides reduced heating, it also encourages natural habitat creation and filter pollutants + carbon dioxide. With green roofs, rainwater is stored bu the substrate and then taken by the grass from where it is returned to the atmosphere through transpiration and evaporation. To generate light and electricity, the systems utilizes power generated by installed solar panels.
