A WALK IN THE MONKEY PARK
As far as I know there are two Monkey Parks in Manjung. One is near the highway while the one featured in the pictures above is next to the Tua Pek Kong Temple in Pasir Panjang. It is known as Hua Kuo San or Flower Fruit Mountain; the idea taken from the story Journey to the West, the place where the Monkey God resides.
The Hua Kou San here does not have any fruit or flower trees. Instead it is a Mangrove swamp but there are monkeys here. So this is a side attraction to visiting the temple. One can take a walk along the bridge that has been built across the swamp and take photos of the monkeys. I saw some visitors feeding them with nuts. There was also a photo shoot going on there. Looked more like the boy trying to tackle the girl with the ruse of taking her photos. By the way, that was how my dad courted my mum.
