TOO MUCH WORK INVOLVED

Ti's the season for the Nga Ku or Arrowroot.  They are sold at the markets and supermarkets.  I have been tempted to buy some to make into crisps for the coming festive season but after some thought abandoned the idea.  Why?  It is because it involves too much work.  One needs to peel the arrowroot, then slice it thin strips  before deep frying over a slow fire.  After that I tend to eat and eat and eat the crisps until I have a breakout of acne.  So, I'd just buy a tin to satisfy my craving for this hugely delicious Chinese New Year snack.
