2011 COINS

The Malaysian Treasury has come out with the third series of coins.  I like the 50 sen coins the best because they are gold in colour.   We all like gold, don't we?
If we keep a coin minted in the year that we were born, it is believed that such a coin will help elevate our self -confidence and also bring good luck to the bearer.  So try collecting as many coins of your birth year to help activate wealth luck.  It would be better if you can get coins from other countries to keep in your collection as this symbolises wealth from all directions. I am lucky enough to get 4 coins from my birth year from 3 different countries.  All I have to thank my late father for this as he was an avid coin collector.
For parents of children who are born in 2011, do make it a point to collect as many of the new 50 sen coins as possible to keep as good luck charms.  It would even be better to get the commemorative set of all the 4 coins.
For your information, the commemorative coins are minted and distributed by Bank Negara Malaysia and has been available for sale since 26 July 2011 at Bank Negara Malaysia's headquarters (BNMLINK) and its branches located in Pulau Pinang, Johor Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
