JUST WHEN I WANTED TO SEE HIM

I had actually planned on going to see my godson, Amir, this week as his birthday is coming up.  I cannot really remember the Western date for his birthday but only the Chinese lunar date since he was born on the birthday of Kuan Yin which is the 19th day of the 6th lunar month.  I had bought him some presents and had wanted to send them to him.
Well, the little boy came and paid me a visit last night.  His dad who had sprained his leg was actually looking for the house of the uncle who does the massages.  However, it was already 8.00 p.m. and the uncle only does massages until 7.00 p.m.  Since they were in the neighbourhood, Amir's dad brought him and his friend Kamil to visit Auntie Li Na instead.
I would be celebrating Amir's birthday early with him on Wednesday as I need to get a picture of him with a birthday cake for my book.  You see, I have managed to contact the publisher and have sent the drafts of my book to them.    Somehow, I think that they had a fall out with the previous editor and the drafts of my poor old book was forgotten by the publisher.  There were many things that he did that the management did not agree to.  They said there were too many photographs and the previous editor had doctored the photos to make them look like illustrations.  Even worse, the illustrations did not look clear.  Worst of all, the previous editor said that he had sent all the drafts to me for reviewing but that I had not sent them back but in actuality I did.  So there was a BIG misunderstanding.
Besides the drafts, I told them that I would only be sending 5 photographs for the book and requested that they remove the rest of the illustrations.  One of the 5 photos was of a birthday.  Wouldn't a picture of my godson celebrating his birthday be appropriate?  Besides, the story of how he became my godson has also something to do with a Chinese belief. When Amir makes a wish on his birthday cake, I will request him to wish that Auntie Li Na's book finally gets to see the light of day.
