It was thanks to my friends, colleagues and students who covered for me by taking over my duties and tasks that I have managed to make it through.
My mum appears to be recovering and is behaving like her old self. Praise all the Gods in Heaven for that and also all the sifus who have helped. I have also managed to get a part-time helper for my mum. Her name is Chitra. She will come on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to do the housework. Chitra also agreed to help look after my mum on days that she is not feeling well. At the same time, my sister will check in on my mum every day to see that she is okay. So that is a big relief for me.
For the past week, I have been finishing the work that have kept piling up and also starting on projects that had been planned besides the everyday classes that I need to teach. I am proud to announce that I was able to set the Standard Test paper for my students, to get and send the data for the NILAM programme and the list of students who will be receiving certificates for the programme. At the same time, I managed to edit the Sports Day photographs taken by my student helpers and burn them into DVDs for storage. My school blog Vokasma Today also saw a lot more posts and photographs. I also managed to conduct a Herbal advice clinic for the teachers and staff in my school in which I gave recommendations of different types of herbal baths for them. Mind you I managed to give consultations to about 30 people within a space of 4 days. Then I had time to start planning for the new exhibition for the library since the one on Traditional Herbal Baths had been going on for almost two months. Next week will see the end of this exhibition and that is why I will be coming up with a 'Name the Herb' exhibition to tie things up. For that I need prizes and I got Perodua to do the sponsoring.
You can see me taking a breather during the Perodua Roadshow in my school. I had to be on duty when the sales team came. With a sigh of relief, things are back to normal and I will be able to go about my daily teaching duties with an easy heart.
