TRADITIONAL PACKAGING

Yeh! Yeh! Most of the activities for the Resource Centre Week in my school were completed today.  What is left is the slide presentation and the prize giving ceremony tomorrow.
A few of my colleagues and I were busy packing traditional Malay cakes and biscuits into Goodie bags that we had made from newspapers called Beg Gantang. These bags would be given to the teachers who had organised and carried out the activities during the week.

We decided to go traditional all the way and took great lengths to use natural materials for the packaging of the goodie bags.  Instead of staples, we used skewers which were made from the stem of the coconut leaves.  In the above picture, you see Haji Hasnin and Asiah busy cutting the leaves from the coconut tree in the school compound.
