PAPER DRAGON

jeffN5
The beautiful white dragon above is actually an intricately crafted 3D sculpture.  Amazing, isn't it?  The artist, Jeff Nishinaka, used very simple tools such as tweezers, a mechanical pencil, toothpicks, art knives, cutting mats, French curves and triangles and a small round wooden dowel to curve the edges of the works.
Hmm... wouldn't it be nice to have such a sculpture to decorate for Chinese New Year next year which happens to be the year of the Dragon.  The Chinese consider this year especially auspicious.
