GIRLS WOOING BOYS INSTEAD

The bear I am holding is a present from one of the girl students in my school to one of the male students.  I found the bear staring out of a paper back on the library table yesterday afternoon.  It seems that the girl passed her present to one of my librarians to pass it to a boy sharing a dormitory with him.
Hmm... these days, is it the trend for the girls to give presents to woo the boys and not the other way round?
