ENSURING SUCCESS AND MORE FAME WITH THE COLOUR RED

Red shirt, red trousers, red shoes, red lipstick and even red underwear.  That was how Red, Taiwanese singer Arron Yan was at the autograph event for his new solo album.  The young man was decked in red for the occasion on the advice of his record company after consultation with a fortune teller.  The venue for the event was at a place called Red House or Hong Lou.
That is how important and significant the colour red is to the Chinese.

Here is the article that I referred to:

Arron Yan YaLun Goes Solo; Hand Doesn't Tire As He Signs More Than 10,000 CD's

Arron Yan YaLun held an autograph event for his upcoming solo album on the 12th. He performed his new single, 下一個我 [Xia Yi Ge Wo] [The Next Me], before signing for fans. He began signing at around 2 PM and averaged about 1000 CD's an hour; he had already signed over 10,000 by the time we [the newspaper] went to print! His pre-order sales results were just as good as labelmate Hebe Tian FuZhen's!

Arron's record company consulted a fortune "expert" for advice; they specially selected the "Hong Lou" (Red House) in XiMen for the autograph event. They also had Arron wear red from head-to-toe-- including his underwear!
(1) Arron was carried in on a gold sedan chair, as his fans called out loudly, "Heavenly King Yan has arrived!"
(2) Facing the media alone, Arron was clearly very nervous.
Bandmates Wu Zun, Jiro Wang DongCheng, and Calvin Chen YiRu all sent him text messages of encouragement; however, Arron wanted them to show their support more directly: each of them, he said, should buy at least 50 copies!
(1) "Red" is a lucky color for the Chinese. Also, it's often colloquially used as a shorthand slang for "popular" or "popularity."
(2) The actual Chinese phrase used by the fans is one typically reserved for the arrival of royalty, or at least for the arrival of very important and esteemed people.

COMMENT:
The question now is, "Will the use of the colour red really bring more fame and success for Arron?" Hmm ... I am not too sure about its effectiveness but one thing I am certain is that I will buy this album as I have always loved listening to Arron Yan sing.
Take a look at the video for his album, you won't regret watching it until the very end.
