OLD PUPIL, NEW TEACHER

Yesterday afternoon I went with my sister to buy food for our dog, Angel.  When I was about to get into the car, I heard someone behind me asking, "Cikgu Cheah Li Na ke?  Cikgu Cheah Li Na ke?".  When I looked around and said, "Yes", I saw the young lady above.  She identified herself as a pupil of mine from when I first started teaching in a primary school called S.K. Seri Kinjang.  The young lady is Nor Hamizah and she told me that I taught her while she was in Standard 1.  Many years have passed and now my little pupil has become a teacher herself.  She is now teaching in a primary school in Temoh.  How time flies!  Anyway, I was very happy and proud that another of my pupils from a very remote village in Perak has made something of herself.  Believe me, that is one of the most rewarding moments for a teacher.
