Usually the charity organisation to aid the Old Folk's Home and Orphanage in Ipoh sells flowers donated by well-wishers to boost their funds. However, the volunteers were not selling flowers but cabbages today. It seems that they got the vegetables instead of flowers. The cabbages were really cheap, only RM1.00 each. My mum and I bought 6 for our tortoises at home. I would have bought more to give to my friends in Sitiawan but one charitable guy beat me to it, he bought all the cabbages that were unsold and so the volunteers could go back to the centre.
